Special instructions for specific products requiring service

Shipping equipment into USA in wooden crates
Effective March 9, 2007, in order to comply with US Customs and Border Protection Regulations, any wood pallets/crates coming into the US must be heat treated and marked accordingly. Learn more about the new CBP guidelines.

When shipping the following products, please include required accessories as instructed.

Please ship Interface Box and Interface cables (2) with unit if unit has failures.

Must send Coax, Coupler, and / or RF Module
300 Please send Coax and Coupler only with unit.
301/301A Please send Coax and Coupler only with unit.
401/402 Please insure that the Counter Mode Switch has been depressed prior to returning unit for display failure problems. Note: Not applicable to 402-3 units.
600A Send antenna and 25 ft coax cable (do not ship in lid) only if antenna spacing needs to be readjusted or if these items are known to be malfunctioning.
2398 Not necessary to send accessory cables or manuals. OK to ship unit in canvas case.
6200/6210 combination There are 4 interconnection cables, two at the rear and two on the front

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL AEROFLEX MODELS

  1. In the case of IFR models that have carrying handles that swivel, adjust the handle to lay unlocked against the top of the unit, when boxing unit to ship.
  2. Do not ship AC cords or manuals unless a Demo or Loaner unit is being returned and these items are the property of IFR.
  3. Do not ship unit(s) with rack mount hardware installed and do not return rack mount hardware with unit.
  4. Do not ship unit with loose items in lid. Original Factory (properly mounted) accessory lid items are OK.
  5. Do not send RF, GPIB, RS232, or Ribbon cables unless it is suspected that the cables are causing a failure.
  6. Please ensure the RMA number is clearly marked on the outside of the shipping box.

Important note: If an owned demo or loaner is being returned, please ensure all cables and other accessories have been returned with the unit.
